Vintage GRAY & SONS Portobello Pottery Stoneware Ginger Beer Bottle 2 Tone #7 Condition is "Used". This antique ginger beer bottle was produced in the late 1800s-very early 1900s. This Scottish pottery was made of Camlachie clay which was highly desired by the potters of the time. The number seven may represent either the mold number or kiln number? Not sure. The last photo shows the Portobello Kiln on pipe street in Edinburgh. This bottle does have a hairline crack on one side that goes about half way down the bottle but there are NO chips or other damage. There is also a dark blob of the clay near the top on the neck of the bottle which is common. Stamped - “GRAY 7 Portobello” Measures 8” tall.
