Vintage 1890-1900 Scottish Pottery Stoneware Crock Ginger Beer/Ale Bottle 2 Tone. Condition is "Used". This unmarked antique ginger beer or ale bottle was produced in the late 1800s-very early 1900s. This Scottish pottery was made of Camlachie clay which was highly desired by the potters of the time. Beautiful salt glaze finish. This bottle does have a chip on the mouth and a minor chip on the inside lip. There are also some glazed over bumps. There do not appear to be any cracks or other damage. Likely from the Edinburgh or Glasgow areas of Scotland and probably made by the Gray and Sons Portobello kiln or the Barrowfield pottery kiln. Measures 7.5” tall.
