OLD BIEDENHARN CANDY COCA COLA COMMEMORATIVE TRAY - 85th ANNIVERSARY VERY RARE!

In 1890, Joseph Biedenharn and his father, Herman, built a 2 story building at 1107 Washington St.  It served as their wholesale candy company on one side, and a shoe store on the other.  Today, this building serves as a museum. This was the first place where Coca Cola was bottled in 1894.  They later called it "Biedenharn Candy Co.".
Joe was quite the entrepreneur.  In 1913, he moved the business to Monroe, Louisiana, to a bottling plant location.  In 1925, he, his son, and others bought a crop dusting company.  They added 18 planes.  It became the largest private fleet in the world.  The name they chose was Delta Air Lines.  They soon moved the business to Atlanta to better serve their needs.
This tray is a rather rare one. It is 12" in diameter.  It states a complete history of the Biedenharn Candy Co. and their history of being the first one to bottle Coca Cola.  This is an 85th Anniversary Commemorative tray made in 1979, 41 years ago.

It is a great, rare tray with beautiful graphics, excellent subject matter.  A couple of very minor scratches are shown.  There are very little signs of use.  The colors are bright and vivid.
