    Description

    up for a true auction.........
a lot of 4 - NASA OFFICIAL SPACE PROGRAM PHOTOS - these are from Apollo 15 - and all are dated on the back - but a few different dates:   March 18, 1971 and May 12, 1971 and July 13, 1971 and July 26, 1971.   So, these predate the actual launch and include a launch shot too!
These have an interesting history ...........
All of these items are from the estate of Mildred F. Fridie – an African-American woman, who personally worked at NASA from 1961, the year of the first Mercury flight thru 1985, when the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station were well established.    She worked out of the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York and the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD.    Many of these items were presented only to NASA staff, some personally by an Astronaut, and others were available to the public at the time.  I am selling these for the family.
Please keep an eye out for my other listings - as I will be putting up alot of Mildreds personal NASA memorabilia - as well as more NASA official photos, etc.    I am selling a few lots and have attempted to keep similar ones or themes together.
About these particular photos::   All are from Apollo 15.   Some info::
    Apollo 15
(July 26, 1971 – August 7, 1971) was the ninth crewed mission in the United States' Apollo program and the fourth to land on the moon.  It was the first J mission, with a longer stay on the Moon and a greater focus on science than earlier landings.   Apollo 15 saw the first use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle.   Astronaut Alfred Worden was the command module pilot; James Irwin, lunar module pilot and David Scott, Commander.
All of these particular photos have a description of them on the back - and I have included pics of the backs of each.   See the pics - I have labeled each photo and the corresponding back of it with an individual number.
Condition:   these are all 50 years old - and are all original.  some have a bit of fading
Shipping:   I do not believe these qualify for media mail - so, I will be shipping them by USPS Priority mail - in an Priority Mail envelope.   So, shipping is one price (that includes the little extra to cover ebays fee (yes - ebay does take a fee out of shipping costs too!)).    All items sold for the estate are being sold as is and as found - no returns accepted.    Happy to combine shipping with other stuff i am selling.
if you want more information or pics of the items - please contact me.
