One official NASA printed card presented to contractors in the Skylab program for their participation in the rescue of the Space Station with a heat reflecting parasol. (Parasol material not included). The orange colored shield was made necessary when the Skylab Space Station was launched in May 1973, sustaining damage on its way to orbit. The parasol was engineered to deflect solar heat and was installed by astronauts on the first manned Skylab mission. This is an original "reward" given to space workers with facsimile signatures of the three, 3-man crews who occupied Skylab in 1973 and 1974. A unique piece of space history! (Photo shows both sides of the card, which is approximately 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches).
