irst Day issue stamped May 5, 1969  for the Apollo 8, six cent stamp. Nothing is printed on the back. Anders name is in the front margin. He was one of three astronauts to make the moon voyage of Apollo 8 in December 1968 that circled but did not land. That was his first and only mission.
