FRIENDSHIP 7 Felt Pennant - John Glenn NASA Space Astronaut Mercury Project

Handsome vintage red felt pennant onto which white letters and a number have been stitched:" FRIENDSHIP 7".  Friendship 7 was the name of the Project Mercury spacecraft launched by NASA on February 20, 1962 which carried John Glenn into orbit. Glenn was the first American to orbit the Earth.
I
bought this pennant along with a few others just like it, a number of years ago from a fellow south of Baltimore who said they'd belonged to his late father, and I was told that they had been made as souvenirs/commemorations of the Glenn flight.
The pennant is triangular, and very well made. The vertical edge measures 10.75".  Each of the 2 long edges measures approximately 35". For being nearly 60 years old, the felt is in good condition, with no tears or holes. No moths. A few small age spots. (See photos.) The white felt on the vertical edge is sewn shut at each end, so these pennants must have been designed for display on a wall, horizontal rod, or flagstaff. Because there's no "tube" in the border fabric, I feel that they couldn't practically have been waved via an inserted wooden rod.
This pennant will be shipped first class mail in a padded envelope. It will be wrapped around an empty paper towel tube, and further protected by tissue paper and bubble wrap. I think it better to roll it than to fold it and risk making creases.
