Embroidered Patch Atlantis Space Shuttle STS-101 NASA Astronauts Original Crew

Description

This is a new (vintage) embroidered patch to commemorate the missions of the NASA Space Shuttle Challenger.  STS-101 was one of the Space Shuttle/Space Station missions, flown by the Space Shuttle Atlantis.  The original crew included Halsell, Horowitz, Lu, Malenchenko, Morukov, Weber and Williams.  Due to various delays, a different crew actually flew the mission.  This mission was the first to fly with the "glass cockpit".
This awesome patch is very colorful.
The background is fully embroidered in dark blue with a black embroidered border.
The rest of the patch is embroidered in yellow, red, white, blue, light blue, black and silver.
We are not sure of the age or origin of the patch – it came from a collection.
