    Description

For your consideration, I am offering this exquisite, vintage, iridized Amethyst Glass - 8 piece Punch Set n the Many Fruits pattern by the Dugan Glass Company..Made in the United States..
Thick walls in a deep dark purple color with iridescent colors along the exterior on each piece with the assorted fruit pattern design of grapes and peaches on the exterior - A cherry motif adorns on the interior on the Punch Bowl - Eight top ruffles decorate the large punch bowl... Grapes and leaves on the exterior of each cup - a solid deep purple base to all ..
This pattern is found only in punch set pieces..
Approximate size: 14 inches by 5.5
inches with a 3.75 inch base diameter..
Light signs of previous use should be expected consistent with age - free of chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations, ...slight to none on the manufacturing imperfections - The tool used to band back each ruffles is noticeable on each ruffle - obviously done during production but any expected flaw or manufacturing signs is not detrimental to the carnival glass Set and this is only mentioned for accuracy... An excellent carnival piece!!
Outdoor pictures were taken for you to view and show true, beautiful exterior colors..Additional questions or additional pictures, I have many, please do not hesitate to request for more...
An excellent example of beautiful Carnival Glass!!
I do have one extra punch cup with issues, will add for free!!
Thomas Dugan was a cousin of Harry Northwood - He came to America from England a few months prior to cousin Harry's arrival and began its history as the Indiana Glass Company, operating from Indiana, Pennsylvania from 1892 to 1896.. From 1904 to 1909 - his company was called the Dugan Glass Company, creating the Diamond "D" mark for some of its pressed ware, most notably, carnival glass...It is unclear who Thomas Dugan left his glass company, but he left and the company was re-named to the Diamond Glass Company in 1913 to its closing in 1931 due to a plant fire..Many times Dugan glass is mistakenly classified as Czech Glass..
