DUGAN CARNIVAL GLASS, SIX PETALS TRI-CORNER BOWL, PURPLE, ELECTRIC, STUNNING~~~

Description

For auction is a lovely piece of carnival glass made by the Dugan Glass Company of Indiana, Pa. The shape is a tri-corner bowl and the pattern is known as "Six Petals". The bowl measures approximately 7 1/2" inches in diameter at its widest measurement. The bowl stands 2 3/4" tall and the foot has a diameter of 3 1/8".
The bowl has a low profile with three corners. It has a purple base glass. Inside the bowl depicts a pattern of flower blossoms and veined leaves in a wreath fashion. This pattern surrounds a six petal flower in the inside center of the bowl. The background pattern is stippled that surrounds the bottom six petal flower. The iridescence is just outstanding as you can see electric purples and blues with tones of gold and fuchsia. This pattern is also know as Christmas Rose and Poppy.
The bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no nicks, cracks, chips or dings.
I don't even see any scratches in it as well. Almost as good as the day it was made. It must have sat on a shelf or was packed away and never used. This is an outstanding version of this bowl in both color and crispness of pattern as well as the brilliance of the iridescence. I'm quite sure the buyer will be extremely happy with their purchase. This piece was made circa 1910-1912.
