Coarse-grade(#3) wool for stripping, Medium-grade (#0) wool for between coats, Fine-grade (#000) wool for finishing

Steel Wool Uses Include:
Coarse (#3):
Remove rust from metal surfaces including garden tools, grills and machinery
Clean brick, rough metal and stone
Strip paint, varnish, lacquer and shellac with removers from wood surfaces
Medium (#0):
Restore and polish aluminum, brass, copper and other metals
Clean golf clubs, bathroom fixtures, stainless steel and whitewalls
Remove wax build-up and scuff marks from wood floors and furniture
Use between coats and to smooth raised grains
Fine (#000):
Buff wood finish to a high gloss
Clean glass block, plastic tile and terrazzo
Remove finishes from antiques
Apply furniture wax or oils
