    Description

    This 2 1/2" X 2" embroidered patch was created to commemorate the historic 1st satellite transmitted TV program ( Chicago Cubs vs. Philadelphia Phillies baseball game ) on July 23, 1962 on WGN television station in Chicago to European and Asian Countries via satellite. The satellite was owned by AT&T; but launched by NASA in a joint venture. I was at that baseball game with my family ( I was 11 years old ). I'm not sure if I purchased this patch at Wrigley Field or if it was a give-away item at that baseball game. I had no idea at that time how significant this was.
