1916 (2) COCA-COLA COKE TIN ADVERTISING TIP TRAYS "ELAINE" PASSAIC METAL WORKS ORIGINAL EXCELLENT. Here is not one but two original 1916 Coca Cola "Elaine" tip trays. These are NOT the 1973 reproduction trays. These are 105 years old. Made of lithographed tin there is an illustration of a beautiful young woman in a yellow dress holding a soda fountain glass of Coca-Cola in her left hand. She sits on a wicker basket and peers alluringly over her right shoulder. This elongated, oval Tip Tray measures 4 -3/8” x 6". The Tray says “Drink Coca-Cola” on the top and bottom. It also reads in small letters to the lower right The Coca-Cola Co. and is also signed by the manufacturer - the Passaic Metal Ware Co. of Passaic, New Jersey. As mentioned there are two trays, the first one to the left is a little darker with some spidering and some minor nicks to the field and some on the edges. No dents or dings or rust. The back is a nice olive green. The next one to the right is brighter and more shiny, no spidering. One small piece of litho loss at the top of her dress. Very clean field with hardly any edgewear.
